 About Us

The Office of the Program Manager for Ammunition (PM Ammo) represents the primary entry point for customers and stakeholders in the Total Life Cycle Management (TLCM) for Marine Corps conventional ammunition and explosives. This span of responsibility..........from budget formulation, acquisition, stockpile management, and explosives safety, to the ultimate use and disposal of ammunition requires a clear, methodical path within the myriad Ammunition Logistics elements. Although PM Ammo provides diverse and critical support in the area of ground conventional ammunition across our Corps, the TLCM mission for this commodity remains unique within the Marine Corps Systems Command (MCSC).

Designated the Marine Corps conventional ammunition Inventory Control Point (ICP), PM Ammo executes global positioning of conventional ammunition assets and addresses Operational Planning Support for the Marine Forces. And, the introduction of ammunition and explosives into the Marine Corps stockpile and the management of all facets thereafter, compel this office to collaborate across a multitude of organizations, both Marine Corps internal, other Department of Defense (DoD) entities, as well as numerous other governmental organizations.

The entire TLCM effort draws the PM Ammo staff into a constant state of Integrated Product Teaming. PM Ammo is part of the Marine Corps Systems Command, a world-class acquisition organization. PM Ammo's wide range of responsibilities under one Program Manager is unique in that it provides the Marine Corps with a single point of visibility to assess the quality, quantity, positioning, and ammunition safety, while serving as the Marine Corps Class V(W) Inventory Control Point. In the end, our sole mission is timely support to Marine Forces with quality ammunition and explosives.
