The Heavy Vehicle Section of the Motor Transport Program Office is responsible for the procurement and life cycle support of new motor transport related systems and equipment such as the Logistics Vehicle System Replacement (LVSR), the Medium Heavy Equipment Transporter (MHET) 40/50 ton low boy trailers, the MK970 5000 Gallon Semi-Trailer Refueler, the Flatrack Refueling Capability 2500 Gallon Refueling System, and the P-19 Firetruck Replacement Program. In addition to new systems procurement the section is also responsible for the life cycle management of heavy fleet legacy vehicles currently in the Marine Corps inventory. These systems include the Logistics Vehicle System (LVS) fleet, the P-19 Crash Fire Rescue Vehicle, legacy MHET trailer, the legacy M970 refueler, and the M1077 Flatrack.
