System Description:  The AN/VRC-110 Dual Vehicle Adapter (DVA) is a Vehicular Radio Set Amplification Kit that amplifies, and houses the AN/PRC-152 THHR. The AN/PRC-152 provides secure, multi-band communications in the 30-512 MHz (AM & FM) frequency spectrum. The system can be configured for handheld or vehicular applications. The AN/PRC-152 housed in the DVA contains embedded Type I encryption and is interoperable with VHF/UHF /AM/FM, SINCGARS and HAVEQUICK I/II in the single-channel mode and can be used in ECCM frequency hopping modes.

Requirement:
Stated Need: THHR MNS (1-10-1994)
Operational Requirements Documentation (ORD):  THHR SON w/Ch 4 (5-14-2003) and JTRS ORD V3.2.1.
Concept of Employment: The AN/VRC-110 was fielded as part of the PM MRAP Communication Package. In addition, the AN/VRC-110 is being fielded in armament carrying HMMWVs. DVA can also be used in the dismounted mode with the HH.
Operational Impact:  The AN/VRC-110 is identified as one of the interim solutions for the Marine Corps immediate need until the JTRS solution reaches its FOC in its respective acquisition strategy.
Risks:
Cost: Low - Commercially-based NDI
Schedule: Low - Commercially available with funding in place.
Performance: Low - No problems reported.

Status: The AN/VRC-113 is part of the THHR program which is an ACAT-IV (M) Program that is NDI based. The program is in the Full Rate Production and Deployment Phase of the Acquisition Life Cycle.
